Walking Autumn

Today we turned our faces to the sun, we soaked ourselves in liquid honey light and warm breezes.  We carried the coats and jumpers we didn’t need after all.  Waking to a frosted coating but drifting through a perfect midday, the world dozed in the sunshine.  Earth has done her work, she is taking a well earned rest.

The rain and the cold will come, leaching the warmth from our faces, washing the colours away.  But today was an amber day, a day for hours and hours of outside time watching the world turn golden.

The taste of Autumn was everywhere.
