As we continue to ease into the early stages of this new year, I find that I am not quite ready to launch myself full throttle into life. Although the decorations have come down and we have left the yuletide behind us, I am still of a mind to snuggle up and hide away.
Over the last few days I have been bitten (again) by the baking bug, some of my efforts you can see for yourselves. As you can see my baking has tended towards the cosy, the comforting.
As the snow continues to fall (along with the temperatures) I am happy to cocoon myself away with my loved ones and my baking; attempting a soft re-entry into real life. Luckily we have cookies to cushion the landing.
